Developer of Award-Winning Document Recognition and Data Capture Solutions Recognized for Innovative Technology and Commitment to the Channel
Fremont, Calif., June 12, 2007 – ABBYY USA, a leading provider of recognition, data capture and linguistic technologies, today announced it has been selected by CRN, part of CMP’s family of Channel Solutions, as a CRN Emerging Tech vendor for its OCR, ICR, and linguistics solutions. CRN's Emerging Tech list captures companies that are delivering high margins for solution providers with innovative and easy-to-use technology that undercuts industry giants. Leading products from ABBYY include the FineReader line of recognition software and development tools, and the FlexiCapture line of dynamic data capture solutions.
The ABBYY Accelerate Partner Program includes wide-ranging benefits to support its partners in marketing, sales, implementation, and support combined with generous, targeted rewards for successful sales efforts.
The program includes both Certified Reseller and Authorized Reseller levels. It is designed to support channel partners as they combine solutions, consulting and systems integration with the strength of complimentary ABBYY products and industry expertise to meet the document recognition and data capture needs of their customers.
According to the 2007 CRN Emerging Tech Survey, the top reasons solution providers add emerging technologies include the technology is superior to other products in the market segment; the technology compliments a solution providers’ existing practice areas; emerging vendors provide better services opportunities; emerging vendors pay better attention to partners; emerging vendors offer higher margins, customers want alternative product choices; and emerging vendors have better joint marketing programs. In addition, 61 percent of solutions providers surveyed plan to increase the number of emerging technology vendors they partner with in the next 12 months.
"Successful Solution Providers are always looking for new and innovative partners, and the CRN Emerging Tech list provides a way for them to discover a large number of potential new partners who offer a wide range of emerging technologies," said Heather Clancy, vice president and editor of CRN.
Vendors who make the CRN Emerging Tech list must have an established solution provider program and formal guidelines for recruiting channel partners. They must demonstrate that its direct sales mix is trending down as evidenced by the company’s revenue history, a channel positive or channel neutral strategy for internal sales compensation, and not be a dominant market share player. Final selection to the Emerging Technology list was made at the discretion of the CRN editorial team after a review of the submitted information and conversations with current or targeted partners.
“It is an honor to be selected for this exclusive recognition highlighting both the high quality of ABBYY products as well as our commitment to providing our partners with the incentives, education, training and support they need to be successful,” said Joe Budelli, vice president of business development at ABBYY USA. “Market growth and the steady adoption of ABBYY’s award-winning technology is driven by solid relationships with our partners, and we are proud that CRN has recognized ABBYY as an emerging technology market leader.”
